Troubleshooting
Fix Google Classroom Permission Errors
Most permission errors come from denied scopes, revoked consent, or account mismatch between browser and Classroom.
Why permission errors happen
VelociGrader needs access to specific Classroom and Drive scopes. If any scope is denied or attached to the wrong account, data loading fails.
Quick fixes teachers can try first
- Sign out and sign back in with the classroom account.
- Close extra Google sessions in other tabs.
- Retry grant permissions when prompted.
Reauthorize required scopes
- Open permission prompt.
- Grant all required Classroom and Drive scopes.
- Return to app and reload course list.
Set the correct default account
Google selects default account by session order. Ensure your school account is first, then retry auth. This resolves many picker and assignment load issues.
When to contact support
If scopes are approved and data is still missing, contact support with a screenshot of the permission panel and a short note about which step failed.
